Brief itinerary; Day 1: Arrive Cusco, relax or take a two to three hour hike to the hills outside of town. Day 2: Cusco: An afternoon sightseeing tour taking in the colonial churches, then visiting the Incan sites just outside the city. Day 3: (StartTrekking) From high pampa village of Mollepata, we collect our pack animals and start a gentle hiking ascent to Soraypampa, our first campsite. New-option to mountain bike this day's trail! Day 4-7: (Trekking) Over a high pass of nearly 15,000 feet, and we begin a long descent down a stunning high valley,along the way passing through small villages, stunning views, coffee plantations and unique Cloud Forest. We finally make our way along a newly-opened Inca trail and end up in the deep valley below Machu Picchu. Enjoy the hot springs along the way! Day 8: Machu Picchu: Here in the Lost City of the Inca you experience the magical sunrise.There is a full guided tour and time to explore on your own. Day 9: We can return to Machu Picchu or take plenty of time to explore the area or to relax in this interesting village. Hot Springs!
